Pair #128 - April 22, 2006 These are for me! I love Opal sockyarn, especially in aqua/turquoise colorways. The last pair I made in this yarn were my favorites until they landed in the "darn me" pile, where they still reside. These I knit at a tighter gauge than the first Opal pair, I hope they will last longer. These were knit again using my First-Time Toe-Up Socks pattern. The striping worked out very well, I think. I used a K3P1 rib for a few inches on the cuff. I'm sure these will be favorites, to replace the first pair of nearly the same yarn. Yarn - Opal fingering-weight (4ply) sockyarn in wool/nylon. It gets even fluffier after machine washing/drying. I bought enough of this yarn to make a tank top for myself, "in my spare time." |
